Medicinally, this plant in the rose family is cardiotonic, helpful for all kinds of heart concerns. Its antioxidant flavonoids and high poly phenol improve blood flow and help dilate blood vessels. Personally, I find it essential during acclimation to high altitude. The decrease in air oxygen levels cause dehydration and thickens the blood, causing the issues... fatigue, edema, nausea, headache, breathlessness... Adaptogenic ashwaganda and good ol' vitamin C, also help. 

Additionally, Hawthorn Berry Tincture is antioxidant, digestive, anti inflammatory, nervine, boosts immune function, and is even said to prevent hair loss.
